Charming set of 6 “Bleu Rose” lunch/tea plates in soft blue on an ivory background. Romantic and perfect for any cottage or French country table setting. These plates are perfect for everyday use but also a lovely addition for an afternoon tea party. They all have their own expression, patina and that beautiful soft airbrushed rose in the middle, they were simply made to charm and they have been doing exactly that for decades!

Composition: Earthenware/Faïence): Fine earthenware/faïence fine. An opaque material, slightly heavier, and fired at a lower temperature than porcelain.

Condition: These plates are in good condition but do have the classic patina of a life well lived, they have the expected patina and some staining, but no chips. 

Make and model: “Bleu Rose was made by the French factory Digoin Sarreguemines in the 1920s-1950s. Each plate are stamped with the Digoin Sarreguemines stamp.

Size: 20.5 cm dia.

Cleaning: The plates are not dishwasher safe and should never be put in a dishwasher, since it will destroy their beauty and longevity. Clean the plates with a mild detergent without any citrus added. Never soak or leave the plates on a drying rack, it will create stains beneath the glaze. Simply wash with a soft sponge and dry off immediately with a tea towel.
